When I was down at Virginia Tech, we would go down to the New River to hang out on the warm weekends. Fairly often, fourship flights of F-15Es would fly low and fast over the river, probably at 250-350 feet, below the top of the mountains around it. They would practice bombing the Radford Army Arsenal. I also remember hiking at Mt Rogers when I was in middle school, hearing jet engines, looking into a valley next to us and seeing F-15Es below me.
It was awesome. Also awesome was the name of the base they came from: Seymour Johnson AFB. Yes America, we have an Air Force Base who's name is a dick joke.
